Deb is a founder and board member of Planting Seeds Education. Her passion for learning is rooted in her family history: neither of her grandfathers had a high school education, yet both impressed upon her its lifelong importance. Carrying that legacy forward, Deb earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University, and today, she and her husband, Brad, are champions for educational access.

A lifelong Minnesotan, Deb is an enthusiastic cheerleader for other people's success. Alongside her commitment to the Planting Seeds Board, she brings this supportive energy to her volunteer work with English language learners, voter engagement, and local farmers’ markets.
